Getting around Nice

Nice has a comprehensive public transport system with the tramway, approximately 40 bus routes throughout the city and surrounding area. For more information, see: Lignes d’Azur.

From the Airport Terminal 1 & 2 to the venue and city centre

The cheapest and quickest way from the airport is by bus:
Terminal 1 – Arrivals Level, outside Gate A0
Terminal 2 – Arrivals Level, outside between Gates A1 & A2

Purchase a “Pass 1 Jour” €4.00 from the ticket office. Tickets are valid on airport buses and trams. Don’t forget to validate your ticket each time you change mode of transport.

Lignes d’Azur Bus 98 (05:50 – 23:00, every 20 mins):
Stops at Terminal 2, then Terminal 1 get off at “Cathédrale-Vielle Ville”. Take the tram T1 (in the direction of “Pont Michel”) from stop also called “Cathédrale-Vielle Ville” on Boulevard Jean Jaurès get off at “Acropolis” (on Avenue de la République). Cross the tracks, turn left on Rue Barberis then turn left again on Boulevard Risso, you’ll see the venue on the other side of the street. Journey time: approx. 30 mins.

Lignes d’Azur Bus 99 (08:00 to 21:00, every 30 mins):
Stops at Terminal 2, then Terminal 1 get off at “Gare SNCF / Thiers” (the train station). Turn left and walk down the street to tram T1 (in the direction of “Pont Michel”) from stop called “Gare Thiers” on Avenue Jean Médicin get off at “Acropolis” (on Avenue de la République). Cross the tracks, turn left on Rue Barberis then turn left again on Boulevard Risso, you’ll see the venue on the other side of the street. Journey time: approx. 40 mins.

**For the Speaker hotel (Novotel Nice Centre) alight tram T1 at "Palais des Expositions‎" - the stop after "Acropolis", cross the tram tracks and you’ll see the Novotel directly opposite you next to the NH Hotel. Cross the Boulevard Risso / Boulevard Jean-Baptiste Vérany.

Taxis:

Locations: Gate A1 at Terminal 1 and Gate A3 at Terminal 2.
Approximate cost from airport to Acropolis is €40.00 depending on time of day, traffic and amount of luggage. Remember to pay only the price displayed on the actual taxi meter. It is recommended that you always ask for a receipt.

From the Train Station (Gare SNCF / Thiers) to the venue and city centre
Cheapest day ticket: purchase a “Pass 1 Jour” €4.00 from the ticket office / machines. Tickets are valid on buses and trams. Don’t forget to validate your ticket each time you change mode of transport.

Take tram T1 (in the direction of “Pont Michel”) from stop called “Gare Thiers” on Avenue Jean Médicin get off at “Acropolis” (on Avenue de la République). Cross the tracks, turn left on Rue Barberis then turn left again on Boulevard Risso, you’ll see the venue on the other side of the street.

Chargeable parking is available nearby. The nearest 24 hour car park (Parc de stationnement) is Vinci Park: Acropolis - Jean Bouin, Avenue du XVème Corps.

Cycling – Les Vélos Bleus

Almost 1,000 bicycles are available for rent from self-service stations dotted around the city centre.  You have to register before using this service, once approved charges are: First 30 minutes: free / between 30 & 60 mins: €1.00 / then €2.00 every additional hour.
